In 1983, Mr. Suemi Koshiyama arrived in the São Francisco Valley with his wife, Mrs. Vanda.
In a region characterized by a hot climate, challenging soil, and the opportunities created by the São Francisco River, they saw the potential to build a future.
With courage, hard work, and perseverance, they began growing more than fruit. They planted a vision.
In 1993, after a decade of experience as a farmer associated with the Cotia Agricultural Cooperative, Mr. Suemi officially founded Special Fruit. The company began with just two hectares. A few years later, it was already laying the foundations required to export Itália grapes to Europe and the United States.

Arriving in the Valley
